The use of (ESP) couplings and fittings is consistent with good engineering practice in the design and construction of medical gas piping systems. These fittings are approved by CAN/CSA Z7396.1 and meet or exceed the design requirements of brazed fittings. The LOKRING fittings have passed a simulated fire test and will withstand fires in excess of 1000 deg F or 538 deg C for thirty minutes.

This photo shows a test that was performed on 1-1/2" type K copper tubing. As shown, the copper tubing burst at 3200 psi while the fittings remained intact.
